In the Middle Ages, chamomile matricaria was simply a highly reputed medicinal plant. It was found in the fever ward, but also in the women’s ward, as it was reputed to calm uterine spasms.

Chamomilme is an annual, bushy plant, around 40 cm tall, which blooms daily with small, highly fragrant white and yellow flowers. It thrives in dry, stony, sunny soil.
Uses : Chamomile flowers can be harvested for use in soothing herbal teas or other culinary preparations, adding a tangy apple flavor.
Sowing : Sow directly in the garden from March to April, in sunny, light, well-drained soil. As soon as the first leaves appear, thin out to 20 cm between plants.
