Clary sage is a perennial plant, forming a bush about 1 m high in all directions, which thrives in all types of soil and climates. Its purplish flower stalks bloom from April to August.
Uses : Clary sage is used as an ornamental for the beauty of its flowers, as a condiment for its musky taste and for its medicinal virtues.
Sowing : Broadcast in spring or autumn, then self-sow. Clary sage can become invasive if it becomes overgrown. If necessary, cut off stems before they set seed.
