Centaurea is an annual plant reaching up to 1 m in height. It adapts to all types of soil, even the poorest. It offers a profusion of colors from April to October, ranging from pink to blue to purple.
Uses : Cornflower petals are edible and decorate culinary preparations beautifully. The flower is used as an herbal tea for its soothing properties.
Sowing : Broadcast in autumn for early flowering the following spring.
