painting starter kit with Guédelon pigments

This unique starter kit contains ten jars of natural pigments, carefully extracted on site by our painters. Each pigment is the result of skilled craftsmanship, capturing the nuances and richness of the raw materials we extract from the site.
As regards the processing of minerals at Guédelon: the stones are crushed and then sieved. The earth, sand and clay are washed, and the colour is extracted by sieving the mud. The residue obtained is dried, then crushed and finally sieved.

To accompany this selection of pigments, the box set also includes an explanatory book entitled ‘Le petit guide illustré des recettes d’aujourd’hui’ (A Short Illustrated Guide to Today’s Recipes), which details the different possible uses of pigments depending on the medium.
